About Hannah

Hi, I’m Hannah, a licensed clinical social worker based in Austin, Texas. I specialize in helping individuals navigate the lasting effects of childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. My approach to therapy is grounded in deep respect for the inner resilience and wisdom that I believe lives within each person. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1 Trained) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support clients in healing past wounds, gaining insight, and building a greater sense of internal harmony and peace. These evidence-based approaches offer powerful tools to process pain, reconnect with your core self, and move forward with clarity and strength.

As a Christian, my faith informs the compassion and hope I bring to the therapeutic relationship. I am happy to incorporate Christian spirituality into our work if that’s meaningful for you, but it’s never required. Given the Church's historical marginalization of the LGBTQ+ community, I want to make it clear that I am a welcoming space for this community.  Inclusivity is a core value of mine and I welcome clients from all backgrounds and belief systems and strive to create a space free of judgment.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but reconnecting with what is already whole. It is my privilege to come alongside you, to hold space, to guide, and to witness the work you’re doing to overcome adversity and reclaim your story. If you’re ready to take that next step, I would be honored to walk with you.

Fees and Accessibility

I believe that therapy should feel like a safe, supportive investment in your well-being, not an added source of stress. My goal is to make therapy both accessible and sustainable, while honoring the value of the work we do together.

To support this, I use a sliding scale based on the Green Bottle Method (developed by Alexis J. Cunningfolk), which allows clients to choose a rate that aligns with their current financial circumstances. This model is built on trust, community care, and the belief that healing should be available to all who seek it.

Accessible Tier

$55/ 50-minute session

For those with limited or inconsistent income, higher financial stress, or other barriers to care.

Sustainable Tier

$115/ 50-minute session

For those who can generally meet their needs but have some financial limitations or competing expenses.

Standard Tier

$150/ 50-minute session

Reflects the full cost of a session and supports the ongoing sustainability of my practice. For those who would not be financially burdened by this fee.

Pay-It-Forward Tier

$175/ 50-minute session

For those with financial stability who wish to help others access therapy. Choosing this tier supports reduced-fee options for clients with fewer resources.

Shifts Happen

If your circumstances change, you can move between tiers at any time—no questions asked. My goal is to make therapy a safe, steady space for healing and growth.

Insurance

I do not accept any insurance, but I do offer superbills for those looking to be reimbursed by their insurance for out-of-network services.

What is IFS?

Family Moments_edited.jpg

Internal Family Systems, or IFS, is a compassionate and empowering approach to therapy that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” within yourself.

We all have many parts, like the part that wants to please others, the part that is critical of yourself, or the part that wants to achieve. In IFS, we explore these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, helping each one feel seen, understood, and supported.

At the center of it all is what IFS calls the Self, the calm, wise, grounded part of you that can bring healing to the rest. Through this process, you can learn to meet your inner world with more understanding, confidence, and compassion, creating space for deep and lasting change.

IFS is a gentle and non-pathologizing model, it doesn’t see you as broken or in need of fixing, but as already whole, with parts of you that are simply trying to help in the best way they know how.

What is EMDR?

EMDR is a research-supported approach that helps people heal from painful or overwhelming experiences that continue to affect their lives. When something distressing happens, our brains don’t always get the chance to fully process it, leaving memories, emotions, and body sensations feeling “stuck” or easily triggered.

EMDR helps your brain reprocess those memories in a safe and guided way so they can be stored more peacefully. This often leads to a decrease in distress, a clearer perspective, and a stronger sense of calm.

During EMDR, you’ll focus on specific memories or feelings while engaging in gentle forms of bilateral stimulation, like following back-and-forth eye movements, tapping, or sounds. This process supports your brain’s natural ability to heal, allowing you to feel more present and grounded in your daily life.

EMDR can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, grief, or times when you feel “stuck” in old patterns that don’t reflect who you are today.
